A legal disclaimer

1. Eligibility Requirements

  • Contestants must be aged 16 to 27 years old on or before October 23, 2025 (date of the Grand Finale).
     

  • Contestants must reside, study, or work in South Yorkshire (Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, or Rotherham).
     

  • Contestants must be of good moral character and must not have a criminal record.
     

  • Contestants must not have posed for nude or sexually explicit photographs intended for public distribution.
     

  • Contestants must hold the legal right to reside, study or work in the UK.
     

2. Application & Entry Requirements

  • Contestants must complete the official entry form and pay the entry fee in full.
     

  • All personal information provided must be accurate and truthful. Any falsification will result in disqualification.
     

  • Contestants under 18 must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate.
     

  • Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
     

3. Code of Conduct

  • Contestants must behave professionally, respectfully, and inclusively towards fellow contestants, judges, staff, and the public. We are an inclusive business and do not tolerate any behaviour that is racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic in nature.
     

  • Bullying, slander, or online abuse (including social media) towards anyone associated with Miss South Yorkshire 2025 will result in disqualification.
     

  • Contestants must not publicly defame or misrepresent the pageant, competitors, organizers, sponsors, or fellow contestants.
     

  • All participants must adhere to the pageant’s ethos of community, and purpose.

4. Event Participation & Winner Obligations

  • Contestants must be available to attend all official events, including photo shoots, rehearsals, and the Grand Finale.
     

  • The winner agrees to represent the title for 12 months, including attending media interviews, appearances, and community events.
     

  • The winner must not enter any other beauty competition during her reign without written consent from the organizers.
     

  • Earnings or appearances linked directly to the Miss South Yorkshire 2025 title may be subject to an agreed commission.
     

5. Travel & Accommodation

  • Contestants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation unless explicitly stated by the organizers.
     

  • Contestants under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is also responsible for their costs.
     

6. Photography & Media Release

  • Contestants grant permission for photographs, video, and recordings taken during the competition to be used by Miss South Yorkshire 2025 and its partners for promotional purposes.
     

  • Contestants waive rights to royalties or compensation for the use of their image, likeness, or name in relation to the competition or its publicity.
     

7. Liability & Indemnity

  • The organizers accept no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation in the competition.
     

  • The organizers are not liable for the actions of sponsors, judges, or third-party service providers.
     

  • The organizers reserve the right to alter the format, rules, or schedule as necessary in the interest of fairness or safety.
     

8. Disqualification & Title Relinquishment

  • Contestants who violate these Terms & Conditions may be disqualified at any stage.
     

  • If the winner is unable or unwilling to fulfill her obligations, she must relinquish the title, crown, and any associated prizes.
     

  • Contestants in breach of the terms may be required to return any gifts or awards received.

By submitting the entry form, each contestant confirms they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. All decisions made by the organizers are final.
